Molded Phoenix Glass Bird/Floral Motif Relief Matte Surface Finish Vase
This is a beautiful, shaped, glass molded Phoenix, vase/planter, the glass is in good condition. This very hard to find piece/rare is a Consolidated Phoenix Glass Vase: A molded glass vase, featuring an overall bird (cardinal) floral motif in relief completely surrounding the dish – including the bottom. It has a matte surface finish, decorated in pastel shades of blue and brown on a yellowish mustard glass. Measures approx. 10"Tall x 5” wide x 4” tall. This is unmarked, but is a text book phoenix glass piece.
I believe it dates back to the 40’s or before, but not for sure. It has the classic frosted glass patina finish suitable for everday use in the home or office.
Is in great shape for age.
Has very few flea bite areas on the inside rim, actually not sure if they were a part of the glass process or not, as the rim shows the grinding down process, and looks like they may have been uneven mold or bubbles in the way.
This is very minor. Inside there are a couple deep wells where there is a small amount of residue (white), again minor.
