PRODUCT READY FOR USE
One of the most frequent defects found in the feet of the horse is the so-called "narrow foot".
This defect is often associated with heel contraction caused by the lack of pressure on the ground of the slice, which therefore shrinks and atrophy.
The causes of such a condition may be natural, such as the bad conformation of hereditary origin of the foot itself or the drying out of the corneal box. But they can also be linked to incorrect human intervention, such as bad ferratures that prevent the slice from contacting the ground and consequently can cause excessive heel shrinkage with increased concavity of the sole.
It is therefore necessary to finalize the intervention to restore the function of the slice while keeping the corneal box in the right degree of elasticity. Hoof Packing allows you to intervene correctly on all the elements that make up the expansion mechanism of the foot giving them all the functional characteristics.
Hoof Packing is indicated not only to maintain the right degree of hygroscopicity of the sole, thus preventing it from becoming too thin and yielding, but also to facilitate the absorption of any surprises and contusions of the same.
In order to obtain the best results, Hoof Packing must always be applied after a thorough cleaning of the sole and of the slice, removing any trace of residual dirt or any pathological material.
The shaping action of the wax will allow the paraffin and the vegetable tar to adhere uniformly and compactly and to exert a double softening action.
MODE OF USE
Make sure that the baseboard is well clean and dry. Then take a small amount of Hoof Packing, the size of a golf ball, and shape it manually until it becomes malleable.
Apply the product around the slice until it completely covers the sole of the hoof. Remove the wrap thus obtained before releasing the horse from the box.
Repeat the treatment every 2-3 days.
