During the 1990's International Impressionist artist KAMIL KUBIK created a series of paintings on New Jersey and New Jersey Politics. I had commissioned Kamil to do this work and during those many years we became close friends. Kamil's resume was incredibly impressive. He had traveled the world before marrying and ultimately settling in New York City where he opened a Gallery inside the Plaza Hotel where he was discovered by Barbara Bush. She fell in love with Kamil's work and when her husband became President, she asked Kamil to come to Washington DC to paint her husband's Inauguration. It's a beautiful scene of the US Capitol filled with masses of people celebrating the election of George Bush, Sr. I have a copy of a letter that Donald Trump sent to a friend with a print of the St. Patrick's Day Parade. In the note....he comments that Kamil is "YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST AND MINE". Kamil was an extremely prolific painter and when he did not have a specific commission, would simply find a place to set up his easel....and paint. After he completed the NEW JERSEY STATE HOUSE he was so taken by the beauty of the Senate Chamber that he did this painting on his own. I am not sure who owns the original but he gave me a series of limited edition prints of this remarkable, historic scene to distribute to the Senators in Trenton at that time. I have the remaining number and am listing the subject for purchase here. Feel free to ask questions. This is a beauty.
