Phoenix Glass rich deep Blue flying geese lg Pillow Vase original sticker label

Description

A beautiful flying geese design flows around this vintage 1930s-40s frosty grey-blue finished Sculpted glass vase by the Phoenix Glass co. The large raised birds  fly across the vase with wings spread. Swirling wind or tall grass flows around them.
Phoenix Glass Co. is located in Monaca, PA. Phoenix began production of art glass in 1932 when 45 to 50 molds from the Consolidated Glass Co. were moved to Phoenix and used until early 1936. This occurred because Consolidated Glass Co. had been forced to shut down due to the Great Depression.
This particular pillow vase has a beautiful semi-translucent grey-blue and white color. The glass pattern design is attributed to Phoenix/Consolidated.The bottom has the original sticker label with partial words, "Phoenix, Sculpt.. Artw.." along with bird image. The large 9 1/2 inch x 12 inch x 5 1/2 inch oversized vase is heavy with a thick glass wall. The opening up top measures
6 3/8 inches x 2 3/4 inches.
This piece is in very good vintage condition, but does has vintage to antique flaws with loss of blue color in places (some from old tape or price label as pictured). There may be other surface wear and is some normal flea bites to lip where it was ground. The sticker label is partially worn with missing lettering Please see photos for condition and below for more measurements.
