Vintage Commemorative Phoenix Glass Ashtray, 1880-1980 by Anchor Hocking

Back in the early 1980's, it was my job at Plantation Galleries to collect the information for the book "Phoenix  & Consolidated Art Glass 1926-1980" by Jack D. Wilson.  At the time, the owner of the gallery had the largest collection known.  When the gallery closed in 1999, I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase the vast majority of the Phoenix and Consolidated collection.  I have basically put it away and offered a piece here and there over the last twenty years.  I have over 2,000 square feet of warehouse space filled to the ceiling with bins with pieces that have came in over the last twenty years that I am now selling.  I start each item at .95 with no reserve!  So if you collect Phoenix or Consolidated glass, please follow our auctions as we have MANY pieces to list.  Unfortunately, when we packed everything away, we did not label the bins so there is no rhyme or reason as to when pieces get listed so please follow our auctions.(Hint) I plan on listing several vases and Catalonian pieces next week
Up for sale if a commemerative ashtray by Anchor Hocking for Phoenix Glass.  It says 1880-1980, has the Phoenix bird logo as well as Phoenix written out, Anchor Hocking along with the logo and finally Phoenix Glass at the bottom.  It's a fun piece to own and looks to have never been used!
Size:  Heavy! 5 1/2" across.
Condition: Very good to excellent, never used!
